Peru: Living with water

One thing you don't see in LA is the harmonious way to live with water. When it rains...road functions poorly and most of rain water end up being run off water on the street. It was very different in Peru especially in Inca people's lives. Water is integrated with their building system, street and everyday life. I am fascinated by their irrigation system that they have installed many many years ago (which still functions). Here are some pics.

Great photos, W! Sadly the LA river isn't exactly a picturesque front door. Apparently, there are plans for revitalization along these areas.
